Village Hall

Village Hall

(Registered Charity No: 267038)

It has since been modernised and is the perfect venue for small functions such as wedding receptions, children's parties, funeral functions and special occasions.

George Nympton Village Hall is located in the centre of this small picturesque village.  It is a Grade II listed building, having previously served as the village primary school from the 1870's.

The newer part of the building has a main hall / function room which can accommodate up to 100 people seated for a meal, or 150 standing.

There are chairs and tables available 'on site' which can be configured how you wish - there are 15 square tables which can seat 4, and 16 oblong tables which can seat 6.

There is also a 'pop up' stage area which is in 1 meter square sections and can also be configured to the size and shape you wish.

The hall has a well equipped kitchen area with large serving hatch into the main hall.

It has a vast selection of matching dinner plates, side plates, bowls, and cups and saucers, and cutlery.

There is a double sink, dishwasher, large fridge, industrial oven, water heater, and microwave.

A smaller hall / meeting room is in the original part of the building.

There is a separate modern bar area with 2 barrel pumps if required, a freezer, wine and beer fridges, glasses dishwasher, and card reader.

The hall holds a Premises Licence for the performance of plays, live music, recorded music and dance (see below for licensable activities.

Free WiFi is available throughout the building.

There is wheelchair access and a disabled toilet.

The car park is flat, with lighting, and parking for approximately 20 cars.

The hall is managed and cared for by volunteers from the Parish, who dedicate their time to ensure this historic building remains in good condition for the benefit of the community by arranging functions to raise funds for it's upkeep.

The hall is also available for hire to individuals, groups or clubs at very reasonable rates.
