Fireworks Party
The fireworks party is on a Saturday close to the 5th November. Our fireworks are set off to music, and afterwards there is usually live music and a bar and food in the village hall, with refreshments served for all to enjoy.
Summer Show
The Summer Show of the George Nympton Horticultural Society is normally held on a Saturday in early August. It gives a chance for residents to show off their horticultural, artistic and culinary skills!
The Village Fete
Our village fete is usually held in July, and is well attended by neighbouring parishes. Preparations start at 3am when the fire is lit for the hog roast which is slow cooked and ready to serve at lunchtime. Our Wacky Races are a highlight, with karts judged not only on speed, but character and effort put in to the build.
Other entertainment includes live music from our local band, 3 Pint Rule, a dog show, a bottle stall, the lucky programme, the children's lucky dip, a prize draw, children's games, crown and anchor, darts, cake stall, book stall, along with cream teas and a bar which as the day goes on serves "George Nympton Sangria".
